The Los Angeles Clippers are set to move into their new home arena this summer and the team is looking for housewarming gifts.

The $2 billion Intuit Dome in Inglewood is expected to open its doors in August and the team has ambitious plans to celebrate California’s rich basketball history.

Right now, the Clippers organization is accepting high school basketball jerseys from across the state to be displayed in a massive exhibit in the arena concourse.

It’s part of an organizational effort to create a sense of California camaraderie, but it also helps honor the team’s roots.

Perhaps no team in the NBA has deeper ties to California than the Clippers. The team’s four biggest stars, Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, James Harden and Russell Westbrook were all born and raised in Southern California.

The team says it hopes to have one jersey from every California high school represented at Intuit Dome.

The Clippers have been selective when it comes to hanging player jerseys. So far, the team has only retired No. 6, which was a league-wide initiative to honor NBA legend Bill Russell.

That means your jersey could be honored and put on display at Intuit Dome years before the likes of Kawhi and Paul George and past greats like Chris Paul, Blake Griffin and Elton Brand.

No pressure or anything.

If you have a high school jersey that you are willing to part with, you can fill out an online form with the team and they’ll let you know if there’s room for more.

An exact date has not yet been set for when Intuit Dome will see its first home game, but season tickets are already on sale for the team’s inaugural season in its new home. The 2024-25 season will tip off sometime in autumn 2024.
